2-Layer PCB Built on 1.0mm F4BM220 | High-Frequency Performance

In this video, we take a closer look at a 2-layer F4BM220 PCB — an excellent choice for high-frequency applications. Manufactured using Wangling’s F4BM220 laminate, this board combines fiberglass cloth, PTFE resin, and film to deliver a low dielectric constant of 2.2 and a dielectric loss of just 0.001 at 10GHz, ensuring strong signal integrity and reliability.

Key features include:

Board size: 100mm × 60mm (±0.15mm)

Minimum trace/gap: 4mil/7mil, minimum hole size: 0.3mm (no blind vias)

Finished thickness: 1.1mm, balancing durability and weight

1oz copper on both layers, with 20μm hole wall plating for consistent reliability

Immersion tin finish for excellent solderability and corrosion resistance

Black solder mask on top layer with white silkscreen for easy assembly

The stack-up is optimized for performance, with 1oz copper on the top and bottom layers and a 1.00mm F4BM220 core providing stable dielectric properties.

Ideal for microwave, RF, radar systems, phase shifters, power dividers, combiners, feed networks, and phased array antennas.
