Hand Plane Parts: All About the Lever Cap

In this part of the Hand Plane Parts series, I go into detail about the lever cap, such as what it does, how it works, and how to maintain it. I also show how to hone the lever cap on a whetstone or lapping plate.

The lever cap helps to hold the cap iron and chip breaker to the frog.
