It’s not about fancy brands. Start with a soil test so you know exactly what your lawn needs. From there, build your NPK foundation using affordable, bulk products:
• Nitrogen – Urea or Ammonium Sulfate
• Phosphorus – Mono-Ammonium Phosphate (MAP)
• Potassium – Potassium Sulfate (0-0-50 or 0-0-60)
These are way more cost-effective than products like Scotts Weed and Feed, which I do not recommend.

📌 SEASONAL PLAN – PRE-EMERGENTS + TIMING
Follow a lawn schedule based on soil temperature. I use pre-emergents early in the season to stop crabgrass, then build in nitrogen and potassium at the right stages for steady growth and root strength.

• 8 oz Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate)
• Mix in 2 gallons of water and spray in the early morning or late afternoon

This gives a dark green boost while helping with nutrient uptake and stress recovery. Pair it with your base NPK and you’ll notice a difference fast.
