Trans women in female jails policy lawful says High Court
A case in the High Court this week addressed the issue of where trans women convicted of criminal offences should spend their jail time. This is a contentious subject, to say the least. Trans women are those born male but who later identify as female.
Neil Oliver says: "On the other side of a yawning chasm in this constantly evolving discussion are those who say women should be legally entitled to single sex spaces – changing rooms and toilets, for example – and also, should the need arise, prisons."
