AKITA INU - Yuki’s Comeback After Being Neutered | 秋田犬

My dog Yuki, who is a Japanese Akita Inu, needed emergency surgery due to urinary stones that were caused by a hormonal imbalance of his enlarged prostate.

The recovery process took approximately 1 month, and he had to stay in the clinic for a week. The doctors put a pet collar on him, which he had to wear for 3 weeks. Shortly before the surgery, Yuki wasn’t able to pee at all or only a couple drops at a time, so we had to let the doctors not only remove the urinary stones but also neuter him in order to save his life.

That 1 month was not only a difficult time for Yuki, but also for all of us. We were constantly worried about him, as every time we walked him after we took him home from the clinic, he was peeing blood and we had to closely work together with the vet to ensure a speedy recovery.

Over a month has passed and Yuki is back to being his old self. You’ll be hearing from us again regularly from now on.
