Sidon & Tyre, Lebanon: A Day Trip In Phoenician Footsteps

Take a journey south from Beirut to visit two of the mot historic cities in the Middle East; Sidon (Saïda) and Tyre (Sour). For many years it was unsafe to visit the southern Lebanon and the fascinating sites of the region remain relatively unexplored.

It's not all history though. Along the way there's time to enjoy crunchy falafel, tasty lokum, and strong coffee. A big thank you to my driver Fouad who was the perfect companion on this trip.
