Mac Byrum is a Lake Norman catfish fishing and striper fishing legend. He has fished for Lake Norman stripers, hybrids and catfish for several decades, and has become the man that fishermen go to when they want to know where to catch fish. Fishing on Lake Norman is not only what Mac Byrum does, its who he is. Catching catfish is what Mac Byrum is all about.

Lake Norman striper fishing began for Mac Byrum in the 80's, and ever since then Mac has chased Lake Norman hybrids, striper and catfish both as a guide and as a recreational fisherman. Fishing with Mac is his guide business, but its also what friends who know him look forward to.
