The intonation is crucial in Russian. It impacts your understanding and, therefore, communication. This video is a guide to help you understand different intonation patterns or contours that exist in the Russian language. I explain the intonation contours (IC) or интонационные конструкции, show you how they are pronounced, and give you an opportunity to practice with me in order to improve your pronunciation. The explanation and instructions in the video are in English; however, all the examples and practice are all in Russian. Recommended for the beginning and intermediate levels.
