Hyundai and Kia’s 2021 EVs and beyond: E-GMP

Hyundai have just announced their new modular, EV-only, platform called Electric-Global Modular Platform or, amusingly (for Pulp Fiction fans), E-GMP.

It enables ground-up EVs of varying sizes and features unbelievably quick charging using an 800-volt system (previously only seen in the Porsche Taycan), bi-directional charging and lots more goodies.

Hyundai were already masters of efficiency so this new EV-only platform fills me with excitement.

Some of the presentation was completely beyond what my little brain can cope with so if I’ve made any glaring errors, please let me know!
