Talking head video lens

Finding the perfect talking head lens sounds simple—until you realize just how many options exist. Since I shoot in a relatively small 11x9-foot studio, I needed something that would fit my space without forcing me against the wall every time I hit record. My main cameras are the Panasonic S5IIX and the Blackmagic Pyxis 6K, both using L-Mount lenses and both now benefiting from autofocus capabilities, so versatility across both systems was a major factor. To find out what works best, I’m currently testing two popular focal lengths: 24mm and 35mm, comparing how each handles framing, perspective, and overall look for talking head videos.
