The Mosa Trio was founded in 2010 by violinist Alexandra Van Beveren, cellist Paul Stavridis and pianist Bram de Vree. The piano trio has given many recitals in the Netherlands and Belgium.

In 2012 the trio was awarded both the jury and audience award of the Storioni Ensemble Competition in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. It won for its marvellous technical playing and the good choice of repertoire. The chairman of the jury Ruud van Eeten stated the trio sounded "very promising". "They've only been together for a short time, but impress already with their solid playing." In the same year the trio won the third prize at the Chambermusic Festival Hoorn, the Netherlands.

A concert of the Mosa Trio from the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam was broadcast live on the Dutch national 'Radio 4'. In addition to many concerts in the south of the Netherlands, the trio also performs in famous concert halls elsewhere in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The name of the Mosa Trio is derived from Mosa Trajectum, the Latin name of the city of Maastricht. This is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands and was founded by the Romans. The trio was coached at the Conservatory of Maastricht by Tonie Ehlen and Alexander Petrasch. It took part in several masterclasses and received private lessons from musicians including Ralph van Raat (pianist), Han de Vries (oboist), Andreas Frölich (pianist Mendelssohn Trio Berlin), Géza Kapás (violist), Gil Sharon (Leader LSO, Maastricht) and Marc Vossen (cellist Storioni Trio).
