Inspiring Physics( Atoms) #universe #inspirephysics #space

Imagine holding a grain of sand. Simple, right? But zoom in far enough — billions of times — and you would find a whole universe hiding inside. That is an atom.
We once thought atoms were the smallest things in existence, the basic building blocks of all matter. But atoms themselves have even smaller pieces inside them. At the center sits the nucleus — a tiny but mighty core where protons (positively charged) and neutrons (no charge at all) live together. Around this core, electrons — negatively charged — spin and race through layered energy levels called shells, never stopping.
An atom is so unbelievably small that a single human hair is roughly one million atoms wide. Yet this tiny, invisible speck builds everything around you — the chair, the air, even you.
