Formed in 1986, Hootie & The Blowfish got their mainstream recognition through their debut album, Cracked Rear View (1994), with 3 Top 10 Singles', Hold My Hand, Let Her Cry & Only Wanna Be With You.

Written by all 4 members, and produced by Don Gehman, Let Her Cry received the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by Duo/Group with Vocals in 1996.

When I stumbled upon Cracked Rear View some time ago, Let Her Cry stood out as one of my favourite songs because of its deep lyrics and complementary guitar.
