Hands On: NEW Tudor 2026 Models (What's Good, What's Bad)
Tudor 2026 Watches Hands-On: Monarch, Black Bay 54, Black Bay 58 & Royal Review
I went hands-on with all of Tudor’s 2026 novelties in Geneva, including the highly anticipated 100-year anniversary release, and came away with some surprising takeaways. In this video, I break down the standout pieces, the disappointments, and the watches that completely changed my perspective after seeing them in person.
We start with the Tudor Monarch, the flagship anniversary model celebrating 100 years since the Tudor name was first registered in 1926. Initially underwhelming, this piece began to make more sense after spending time with it. From its vintage-inspired case design to the California dial and subtle historical references, it’s a watch packed with heritage details. Powered by the METAS and COSC-certified MT5662-2U movement, it also introduces a higher level of finishing than we typically see from Tudor.
Next, I revisit the Tudor Black Bay 54 in its new blue configuration. While I expected to love it, my opinion shifted after handling it in person. The sunburst blue dial and bezel give it a more polished look, but I question whether it leans too far from Tudor’s tool-watch DNA.
The Tudor Black Bay 58 receives subtle but meaningful upgrades for 2026. A new 5-link bracelet, T-Fit clasp, METAS certification, and a slightly slimmer case all contribute to a more refined wearing experience. If you’ve been considering a Black Bay 58, this might be the best version yet.
Finally, the Tudor Royal collection surprised me the most. Now equipped with manufacture calibres (MT5201, MT5412, and MT5633), improved design execution, and new size options, this integrated bracelet sports watch feels far more complete. With pricing starting around £2,540, it presents a strong value proposition in the luxury sports watch category.
If you’re interested in Tudor watches, luxury watch reviews, or Watches & Wonders 2026 releases, this video covers everything you need to know from a hands-on perspective.
Let me know in the comments which model you want a full deep-dive on.
