The NX Digimon you get from the NPC outside the Detective Agency have an extremely erratic EXP curve. At first, it steadily increases from 63 to 3936 per level from 2 to 19, but then jumps to 25616 for level 20, then down to 7975 for level 21 and 0 for level 22, meaning you jump directly from level 20 to level 22, skipping 21 completely.
