SuperTux v0.5.1 - The Journey Begins 26.60 [WR]

This took about an hour of playtime.

So, I'm just gonna go ahead to share the details about this run because after TASing it and getting a 26.59, I learned a lot about the boost locations in the level, and as it turns out, not only is 26.62 (Rob's previous "unbreakable" world record) possible, it's surprisingly easy, given that you use RNG manipulation on the pilots.

First two boosts, the question mark block and ground: best you can do it save 10px. The first boost is always 3px, and the second one is 7px if you get the best of it. It's impossible to get a standard boost above 7px (without a badguy), and the increments are in 5's so for a 6px boost it's also possible to get a worse 1px boost, and for 7px, 2px, etc. Without getting the 3px boost you can still get 5px boost from the ground but that's usually a reset because you are already playing "down" a frame. So, you get those 2 boosts for 10px total
Next boost gives 4px and the boost after that gives 3px. Alternatively, if you miss the 4px boost you can get the second one for 7px and save the lost px's. Up the stairs the perfect run will have 17px saved. Next boost is the ground for 6px or 1px. 23px. Next ground boost is 4, question mark block after that is 4. 31px total. Next boost is the pillar ground boost which I think is 4 as well. So, if you miss both of the early 4 boosts. In this run I got the 23 px I needed, I MISSED both of the 4 boosts after that, but because of that the pillar boost gave me 7px, basically recovering a frame that was otherwise lost. So, essentially, I've saved 30px after the pillar which is one frame off the TAS which up to this point has saved 35px.
Next boost is the question mark block. It's a 6px or 1px and I got the 6. 36px ME 41px TAS. Next up is the snowball boost which you can get up to 10 frames. both me and the TAS get it. 46px ME 51px TAS. Next up is the optional bomb boost for 3px HOWEVER, if you make it, the following question mark block would be 3px, and the next block is also 3px. So, if you miss the bomb, you can still recover it by getting 6px from the first question mark and you still have to nail the last question mark for 3 more. I get the 6px recovery from the first question mark block but miss the last 3px jump. But don't you worry, the next platform is a 4px if you played perfectly and a 7px if you missed that last 3px jump. So, I recovered all of it on that platform where you hit the pilot. Following that, it takes two more boosts from the next platform and then the last snowball to match the TAS, and those boosts are not difficult to get. So this run was born.

TLDR - IL's are a lot easier if you understand where you are and aren't allowed to miss boosts.

I uploaded the first ~48 min TJB session unlisted on my channel, I'll make a public playlist where I stick all of my raw recordings on.
