Moving from InDesign to Affinity Publisher with Mike Rankin

Affinity Publisher now has the ability to import content from Adobe InDesign via IDML, and a key part of moving your workflow between the apps is working with legacy files. But what kind of results can you expect and which document features are supported? How can you avoid trouble and get the cleanest possible conversion? And what if you don't have access to InDesign?

In this Lockdown 2020 session, Mike Rankin – Editor-in-Chief of CreativePro, InDesignSecrets and InDesign Magazine – explores these questions and more to help you make a smooth transition from InDesign to Publisher.

Mike will be available on YouTube’s Live Chat for this session’s premiere on Wednesday, 27 May 2020 at 4pm BST to answer any questions.

He’s also provided a PDF with details of what to expect when InDesign files are converted to Publisher, which you can access for free at https://affin.co/LD2020MikeRankin.

Mike, who resides in Massachusetts, has enjoyed working in nearly every aspect of publishing production, including design, project management, layout, illustration, and prepress for 25 years. In addition to his editorial roles, Mike is the author of many LinkedIn Learning video courses, including Affinity Publisher Essential Training, and is a regular speaker at conferences like CreativePro Week.
