Tight Lines Fly Fishing Co. And Gnarly Cedar Brewery’s Midwest Coast IPA!
When Adam at Gnarly Cedar Brewery /LedgeStone Vineyards https://www.gnarlycedar.com/ approached us about doing a beer collaboration, I had known idea how far down the rabbit hole it would take me.
Gnarly Cedar Brewery shares the exact same ideals as Tight Lines Fly Fishing Co. https://tightlinesflyshop.com/ on creating a top-notch product but with conservation in mind as well. When I met Adam, I did not know that he grew up fishing the same river I have guided the last 22 years. We immediately became fast friends. When he found out about the proposed gold mine on the banks of the Menominee river, we made a plan. We would create a beer together to bring awareness to the threats of this open pit mine on the banks of one of the largest contributing water sheds to the Bay of Green Bay.
After much testing, sampling, and work with our new friend Josh the Brew Master at Gnarly Cedar I think we hit a home run. We proudly introduce -Tight Lines/Gnarly Cedar Midwest Coast IPA-. Proceeds of this project will be donated to the Coalition to Save the Menominee River. https://jointherivercoalition.org/
BEER PROFILE: The Tight Lines IPA has a malt driven backbone balanced with centennial, chinook, simcoe hops. We’re calling it a Midwest Coast as it isn’t a hop bomb from the west or a hazy from the east.
