• Digital Multimeter with Diode Test Mode

1. Safety First
• Disconnect the LED chip from the AC mains.
• Discharge any capacitors in the driver circuit to avoid shock.

2. Visual Inspection
• Look for burn marks, darkened SMD LEDs, or cracked/bulged components.
• Burnt-out LEDs often appear darker or have a visible internal break.

3. Test SMD LEDs with Multimeter (Diode Mode)

• Place the red probe on the anode (+) and black probe on the cathode (–) of each SMD LED.
