Bachfest 2024: The Apocalpyse (No 57 & 72)
Experience „The Apocalypse – The opera Bach never wrote“ at the Bach Festival 2024! It is dramatic, emotional and topical. The true story of the Dutch Baptist Jan van Leiden tells of polarization, radicalization and fanaticism. “The Apocalypse” draws uneasy parallels from the 16th century to our time. Fragments from Bach's cantatas, passions and instrumental works combine to form a brilliant stage work, featuring internationally renowned musicians.
