2002 World Cup was witness to South Korea’s giant-killing run to the semi-finals — but was it the fairytale it appeared to be?

Two games in particular had corruption written all over them.

It included Spain’s controversial penalty loss to South Korea in the quarterfinals after they knocked Italy out of the round of 16.

Doubt started sinking in when Italy was knocked out after a spate of very questionable decisions from Ecuadorean referee Byron Moreno swung the game the hosts way.
