#FirstpostNews: Differently abled man dies after pleading With ICE to release his detained father

Newly released video shows Wael Tarabishi, a differently abled U.S. citizen, begging Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release his father, Maher Tarabishi, who was his primary caregiver. Maher was detained by ICE in Texas during a routine check-in in October 2025. Wael, who suffered from a rare genetic disease, was repeatedly hospitalized after his father’s detention. He died in January 2026 without his father by his side. The family says ICE denied requests for Maher’s release and to attend his son’s funeral, blaming the agency for Wael’s death.
