Welcome to my playthrough of Pokémon Soul Silver! This is actually my first playthrough of the Gold/Silver remakes as well.

The Rules for the Nuzlocke that apply are standard, with some exceptions.

First, I can attempt multiple times to catch the first New Pokémon in each new area. But I am locked into that Pokémon if it is the first one that appears. Dupe clause does not apply if there are no new Pokémon to catch in an area, but I will be locked into the first one that appears then.

For example, If I catch a Weedle on Route 2, and it reappears as the first Pokémon on Route 30 while there are no New Pokémon on the route. I am only allowed to try to catch Weedle on Route 30.

Next is after each Gym battle I am allowed to bring back 1 Pokémon that has been knocked out. This cannot stack nor carry over for another Gym battle win, I either use the 1 revive after the Gym badge is obtained or I cannot until the next Badge is obtained.

The Nuzlocke ends once Red is defeated.
