Changing a Wolfcraft Drill Guide into an Extra Wide Drill Press (Easy and Cheap Drill Press)

This is a short video of a project I have been thinking about a while and only took about an hour to build. I have a drill press, but I am unable to reach the center of thicker boards. I turned my Wolfcraft drill guide into a super wide extra large drill press. I simply use scrap wood (24"x9" piece of .5 inch MDF and 9" 2x4's) to build a platform for the Wolfcraft drill guide to be bolted onto. I countersunk the holes in the bottom of the platform to allow the washers and bolts to sit flush with the material. I am now able to place this platform on my bench top (or move it anywhere I need). I can slide wood 21" x 3.5" x any length through this platform to drill reasonably straight holes. The platform holds the drill guide fairly secure and I was even able to drill some decently straight test holes with one hand. I will mainly be using this for some projects where I am using 14 inch wide planks, but it makes for an affordable (cheap) drill press with large material. I originally drew the design in Fusion 360 and thought I would use my CNC to cut the MDF, but in the end I decided to go with a simple and effective design.
