" Massive Fire Erupts at Champion Paint Building in Lahore "

One of Lahore's most iconic landmarks is fully engulfed in a major fire this afternoon.

The famous Champion Paint building on Main Boulevard Gulberg was first reported on fire at approximately 1:30PM. Thick black smoke from the blaze is now visible across almost the entire city. At the time of posting 12 fire brigade units are on scene attempting to control the fire, which has now spread through all floors of the building.

Authorities have completely closed Main Boulevard Gulberg in both directions and are urgently requesting all members of the public to stay far away from the area to allow unobstructed access for emergency services.

There are no official confirmed reports of any casualties at this time. This is a fast moving and developing situation.

For anyone who has ever lived in or visited Lahore this is an incredibly surreal sight. This building has been a permanent unchanging fixture of the city's skyline for over 40 years.
