3M Message Repeater Commercial Tape Player (1984)

This commercial cassette deck from 1984 can record and playback up to 12 messages on a timed schedule, continuously, or on-demand. It was made by 3M and is designed for use with background music systems, such as the 3M Cantata. This model was used in public address and "music on hold" situations at casinos, not sure where else - amusement parks? Airports? Today, we would handle such automations with digital recordings and programming, but back in the 1980s they did it with tape!
