Why have a small camera set up? Small camera set ups means easy for travel and less imposing on your subjects and environment. Less intimidating and possibly a good way to create a dialogue and conversation with your subject.

This is a series of 3 street photography outtings, each with one a different camera/lens set ups. The three setups are:

1st: Nikon body Z6 with Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 lens

2nd: Leica M240P body with Leica Summilux 35mm f1.4 lens

3rd: Nikon D850 body with Nikkor AIS manual 35mm f1.4 lens

This video looks at the benefits of matching a modern Nikon Z6 mirrorless camera body with small, compact manual lens, specifically, the Voigtlander 35mm f1.4.

The combined weight is around 930 grams. Small but large enough for good ergonomics and easy handling. It can be packed into a small/medium camera bag or bum bag.

The Nikon Z6 body offers some great benefits such as modern physical image stabilisation for manual lens. This enables hand held photography as low as 1/2 second exposures with almost no image shake on the 35mm lens. Electronic view finder also helps with accurate focus in addition to traditional range focusing with manual lens.
