Instructions for This Breathing Exercise:

This Buteyko Inspired breathing method has 4 key principles you must observe, these will help activate your parasympathetic nervous system.
1. Breathing Slower
2. Consistent regular breathing
3. Breathing through the nose only
4. Breathing deep into the belly activating the diaphragm.

When we are stressed we breathe fast, through the mouth, we sigh and we breathe shallow, typically upper chest breathing.
We believe the more air we take, the more oxygen we receive, however Oxygen is absorbed in the presence of C02, if we breathe too fast, we reduce the amount of C02 in the body and reduce the absorbing of Oxygen.
When we breathe slowly through the nose we increase the amount of nasal nitric oxcide, which increases oxygen absorbs into the blood.

Use this method daily as a way to relax, reduce stress and become healthier
