How easy is it to assemble an Electric Bike - Original Tower Beach Bum

The Tower Beach Bum comes pretty much fully assembled, only three tools and a few steps and you will be riding it away.

The batter usually comes at a 30% charge, and we recommend you fully charge it before taking it for a spin. That usually takes about seven hours on a regular outlet.

You will know the battery is fully charged once the red indicator light goes from red to green, on the charger.

TOOLS NEEDED FOR ASSEMBLY:
1. Knife
2. Allen wrench
3. Monkey wrench

In the box you will find:
1. The bike itself
2. Three boxes
3. Saddle

Start by cutting the zip ties from the front tire, which is attached to the rest of the bike. Then unwrap the whole bike. There is foam and plastic in all the critical places so the bike won’t be damaged during transport.

The first thing you might want to do it to install the handle bar. Make sure the wires are on the side where the disc brakes are. If you were riding, you would look down and the wires would be on the left side.

Choose the angle of the handle bar (you might make adjustments later, but this is good to have tighten so you can move the bike around while working on the assembly) and lock it in place. Then choose the height of the handle bar (also temporary) and the angle compared to the fork, where the tire will go, and lock it in place.

Flip your bike upside down to make it easier to assemble. Make sure you have a smooth surface not to damage the bike. You can lay a blanket to make sure you won’t scratch it. Insert the front tire with the disc turned to the side of the brake. Make sure the disc fits comfortably in the brake and lock the tires in place.

You can work on the pedals, which you can install by using an allen wrench. Make sure you check the labels and put the left pedal on the left side and the right pedal on the right side. One side will tighten clockwise and the other, counter clockwise.

You can flip the bike back on its wheels and install the front and back lights now.

They are pretty intuitive processes. The front light you will use the screw and nut that is already on the bike. Loosen it and put the light on, then connect the cables.

The back light can be placed on the saddle or anywhere you might find convenient. Make sure it is some place where it is visible from people coming from behind.

Undo the saddle Insert the saddle lock, insert the saddle, and lock it in place.

Place the batter on the back of the frame, in front of the back wheel, slide it downwards until you hear a click. You are ready to go. You can use the keys that come with the battery to lock the battery in place so it won’t be stolen.
