Arcs and Rolling Spines

We naturally move in arcs.

We're on a planet with gravity and we're not made of metal.

The spine is no exception to this, yet students typically add only spine overlap in one rotation.

They might catch it for the limbs but not for the the core of the body.

And I get why this happens:

- It's because you have to manage three or four different spine controllers.

- It's easy to just get focused on doing only rotate x and then you forget to to arc the body.

- You might be having such a hard time with overlap that it's really hard for you to get control over it too.

What this ultimately does is that it creates linear arcs for the head and the torso in general, instead of doing some kind of roll that would make everything feel a lot more natural.

Check out these examples I made, to show you what I mean.
