THE ROMULAN WAR: Romii

Romii was the first home of the Sundered - a group of politically disaffected Vulcans who fled the planet in the 4th century.

Several thousand of the Sundered chose to settle on the planet while the main body continued on towards a more hospitable planet - the future Romulus.

The Romii colony remained undisturbed for nearly two millennia when they were discovered and attacked by Klingon freebooters in the early 22nd century. The Romii called out for help and military forces on Romulus responded, igniting a larger interstellar conflict between the Romulans and the Klingons. The "Dueling Birds War" was fought to a standstill, but Praetor D'Deridex II annexed Romii and formally brought it into the Empire, where it eventually became the largest imperial base near its border with the Federation.

Romii was destroyed by the Hobus supernova in 2387.
