EPIC Mountain Lion Bowhunt

This was one of my most exciting bow hunts to date! It is a totally different experience using hounds. They are used in lion hunts because lions are so elusive. For example, I've hunted, backpacked, camped, and hiked in Colorado for 14 years and never saw one. The lions must be harvested to curb their population, but that would never happen without hounds. Using them was different, but exciting nonetheless. To see them smell a lion from a 3 day old track in the snow is amazing. Using them is not unlike using Pointers or Flushers in upland game hunting.
