Harnessing the power of water has proven very useful in the generation of electricity.

Acting like natural batteries, large bodies of water in conjunction with dams can provide many thousands of MW of electrical energy. However like all sources of power Mishandling can end in disastrous results.

Today we are looking at the catastrophic Sayano Shushenskaya power station accident.
