‘I Was Really Ticked Off At You For A Long Time,’ Says Returning Guest To Dr. Phil

When self-proclaimed “fat guy” Eric met Dr. Phil in 2016, he weighed over 500 lbs. and said he was attempting a cross-country bike ride to shed the excess weight and win back the love of his estranged wife, Angie.

At the time of his initial appearance, Eric, who had gained many supporters, a substantial internet following, and thousands of dollars in donations since beginning his journey, said he had experienced numerous setbacks which had slowed down his progress. He had also drawn detractors who accused him of being a fraud.

After the program aired, Eric says the hate didn’t stop, which caused him to become angry with Dr. Phil.

“I got so much crap – and that really screwed with my head,” he says to Dr. Phil in the video above, adding, “I was really ticked off at you for a long time.”

On Thursday, Eric, who completed approximately 1,600 miles of his cross-country tour, returns to the Dr. Phil stage. Why does he say he’s back?
