Experimentations
• Revival of Traditional Lime Plasters of Rajasthan – Thappi, Lohi and Araish Plasters
• Lime water storage tank without cement
• Araish renders on Khiru roof
• Sandwich roof with bamboo, lime and terracotta tiles
• Adobe roof with surkhi-lime plaster
• Flat mud roof using mud, bamboo and lime upon workshop Kalari
• Coconut shells in Foundation of a Vipassana Centre at Ambasamudram.
• Village Mud Kitchen
• Limecrete roof over the storage space in the village mud kitchen
• Cob oven and Rocket stove
Research and Documentation
• Khoj - Second natural building music
• Cob bench using the technique of flat mud roof technique
Sharing and learning
Thannal Natural building school conducts workshops for training and involving common men in Natural building. Thannal reaches around 1000 people every year, from different walks of life, inspiring and involving them in Natural building.
