Save your BMW from a broken engine!

We had this BMW in for an injector and valve cover replacement.
The customer also complained about the engine not running proberly.

When we turned the engine backwards by hand the engine simply locked?.
It turned out that the timing chain was so stretched and extended in lenght that it blocked when turning the engine backwards.
When inserting a new chain tensioner it just went all the way into the hole without meeting any resistance.

So it was definitely time for an N47 timing chain replacement! Not doing it would result in a broken engine within very short time.
