First Ride 2024 Santa Cruz V10.8 / Custom Dream DH Bike (Spoke X, Element 6, DVO, TRP) 1/11/24

I just custom built my dream DH bike. I was contemplating between the Santa Cruz V10, Forbidden Supernought, Commencal DH Supreme, Canyon Sender) Ultimately I went with the Santa Cruz V10, I got the frame from Spoke X and brought it over to Element 6 for a custom paintjob.

I literally got the bike delievered the night before my first ride. I was at my daughters volleyball tournament so Javi from Spoke X drove it down to my restaurant. I didnt see it until 10pm. I messed with it that night but realized the flip chip and spare parts were still at Spoke X so I wasnt able to put the bike in low setting. It also had a 500 lb spring and I luckily I put on the 450 spring which helped. After the first ride, I thought I needed to put a 400 spring on it but a few days later I put the flip chip in low setting and the bike feels way better. I wont know until my next ride. There was also an issue with my shifter. None of us were familiar with TRP so we didnt know how to fix it but it took Javi 1 min to fix. There was too much slack in the cable so once he tightened it, its shifting perfectly now. Yoshimura also cut down the post so I think I have the bike set up, so looking forward to my next ride to get the suspension dialed.
