This was a Weekend Project,

using $5.00 Wal-mart Flat Twin Size Bedsheets, a Staple Gun & Duk Tape, Iron, Scissors, Hot Glue Gun & Patience because It was my 1st time doing this.

a few factors when into the using of the sheets instead of fabric...
1. it was the first time doing a big piece of furniture.
2. Sewing Machine
3. I didn't want to invest in buying Fabric which can be a little expensive, & if I didn't cut it correctly I would have had to buy more.
4. The Sheets gave me a Good amount of fabric at a low cost.
5. in the future if I want to invest & create the cover to really Reupholster the Sofa...the pieces of sheets can be removed & the outline of the sofa are already there, so I just have to cut an extra inch of fabric around the outline for seam allowance.
to create the pattern for the Good Fabric.
6. If the Cushions get dirty...I just remove that piece & wash it.
7. I didn't hot glue on the Sofa so the original brown fabric is still Good & if I want to go back to the Brown which I'm Sick of...I can just pull the sheets right off. the arm rests that I stapled the fabric to...it was stapled on the Wood Frame. so theres no damage. I did think of all these factors before starting this Diy.
8. In the Process of the Livingroom make Over I realized...The Brown Sofa
( The Elephant in the Room )
was just Not going to Pull the Make Over Together because...The Brown Clashed with the Gray. & I didn't just want to throw sheets over the Sofa. For Me...this Works Fine for Now.
9. Honestly this was not Hard to do at all...If I would had known it was this easy...I would have done it Sooner. The most time Consuming part was the pleading of the arm rest & that was due to Me wanting things to Look as Best as possible.
10. I know...Some of you will think, this is not the Project for me. ( Thats Fine )
theres Plenty of Slip Cover Videos out there...where people just throw sheets over their Sofa & Tuck the fabric in.
Theres also Videos where patterns are made step by step. ( Thats Fine Too )
Do whatever Makes You Happy...Your Home/Apt is Your Castle do whatever is going to Make You Happy.

so for that reason...I don't need Anyone telling me...everything that they Think is Wrong with this DIY.
I know...that this Diy, Will help someone Out there...& if its Only 1 or 2 people
( then thats Great ) many couples starting out sometimes don't have the money to go out & spend it on a Luxurious Sofa...So for the time being, this would be a Good Alternative. a Collage Student, a mom trying to make ends Meet.
