Live Learning 34: From Passive to Active: Designing Student Led Learning

Live Learning is Future Anything's continuing professional development series for educators, in which we chat with awesome movers, shakers, thinkers and doers on topics designed to help build enterprising mindsets in Aussie classrooms.

For the first time ever, we’re going live in the evening, joined from Hong Kong by internationally recognised educator, author, PBL coach, and Student Centered Learning Designer, Kyle Wagner.

In this session, we’ll explore what it means to build student-centred environments that activate student-led learning. Drawing on the ideas from his latest book, Where is the Teacher?, Kyle will unpack the shifts needed to move classrooms from passive learning spaces to active, inquiry-driven environments where students develop greater agency, ownership, and engagement in their learning.

Whether you’re exploring project-based learning, refining your pedagogical approach, or looking to create more active and meaningful learning experiences, this session will provide practical insights and ideas you can apply in your own context.
