Is a Six-Year-old Alienware X51 Gaming PC Still Worth Buying?

Alienware PCs generally range from expensive to very expensive but if you find a second hand one like my X51-R2 here, then you can get the brand name for less money.

In 2014 this $700 or so configuration was the weakest in the Alienware lineup, so how well has it held up, and can it be upgraded?
