This MySQL Feature is No More :-(

In this sql interview questions and answers video we'll answer one of the sql interview questions in any developer interview - what storage engine was removed starting from mysql server 8.0?

Starting from MySQL Server 8.0, the PARTITION storage engine was replaced by a partitioning handler.
As such, the mysql server PARTITION storage engine is no longer displayed in the plugins table or when the SHOW PLUGINS query is being run.
The only storage engine in MySQL that provides support for a partitioning handler is the InnoDB storage engine.
That means that partitioned tables can be created only by using the InnoDB storage engine in MySQL server.
