I stroll to the bridge, the sky’s turning gold,
A picture so perfect, a sight to behold.
But just as I’m dreaming, lost in the view,
A seagull dive-bombs and steals my shoe!

The lovers walk past, all cozy and sweet,
Meanwhile, I trip and fall in the street.
A pigeon decides to aim for my head,
Great! Now my hair is a warzone instead.

The river is glowing, the sunset’s divine,
But why does it smell like old fish and brine?
I sit on a bench, just trying to chill,
Then some bloke asks me to pay his bar bill.

Yet still, through the chaos, the honks and the screams,
Waterloo Sunset stays gold in my dreams.
Though London may trip me, kick me, and curse,
I wouldn’t trade it, for better or worse!
