A young green sea turtle is injured: meet Bermuda’s sea turtle rescue team that is working to return it to the wild.

Sea turtles have been roaming the oceans for the past 100 million years. Now, their future is uncertain. Six of the world’s seven species of sea turtles are classified as endangered.

The plight of these majestic creatures underlines how important each and every sea turtle is to the survival of their species. Meet a dedicated team based in Bermuda who rescues and rehabilitates sea turtles in the video above.

One young green turtle in their care was nearly mistaken for dead when he arrived at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo. He had ingested too many jellyfish, which shocked his system into an unresponsive state. After two months of recovery, he was given a second chance to survive in the wild.

Join him on his first dive back into open waters in the video.
