Bulk Fixer For Darkroom Cost Savings
Darkrooms are expensive to use, so I find ways to save money while keeping my quality as high as I can. One thing I do is buy fixer in bulk from swimming pool suppliers instead of photo stores. I have to mix it up myself, but the savings add up. If this sounds like something you would like to do too, watch this video.
The fixer formula I use is low odor Kodak F-24:
500mL water (125F)
240g Sodium Thiosulfate
10g Sodium Sulfite
22g Citric Acid
Water to make 1 liter
Fix prints for 5 minutes each in two baths
