Refinish Mobile Home Walls And Ceilings - Part 3 - Taping Joints : E056 / BC Renovation Magazine

In this video we show you how we embed the drywall tape over the wall panel joints. We want a smooth wall, just like in a house, with no moldings, so we previously removed all of those moldings that they use to cover the panel joints when the home was built at the factory. This will give the home a much more modern and upscale look.

This is the first step in the taping and filling process. This is a three step process. Once the tape is embedded we will be applying 2 more fill coats of mud over the tape to cover the tape and feather out the joints. Stay tuned for the next videos in this series where we will show you that part of the process.

Where people often run into trouble doing this is they try to do it all at once, taping and filling all in one step. That doesn't work.
