Honda CRV Fluctuating idle speed FIX! Idle relearn procedure for Honda

In this video I explain how to do the idle relearn procedure for Honda CRV or other honda cars.

This will fix the fluctuating idle speed which is normally caused by battery replacement, or Changing any components of the engine. In which case, you must do the idle relearn procedure.

This is a safe procedure and does not require any tools.

Step 1: make sure absolutely all electronics are off(radio lights etc.

Step 2: Turn the ignition on and wait 2 seconds

Step 3: Turn on the engine and immediately keep the rev on 3000 rpm until the temperature reaches Maximum and fans come on.

Step 4: once you hear or see the fans come on, let go of the pedal completely

Step 5: Wait minimum 5 minutes

( Please note that fans might come on and off during this period and you must not count the duration of fans being on as part of your 5 minutes.)

After this process the fluctuating will be fixed but the car needs to be turned on and off a few times for the computer to finish its learning

. If you see the idle is too high initially after the process above, don't worry. You have to turn the car on and off a few times and wait couple minutes in between .

Now you should have a smooth low idle at about 600rpm.
