Easy way to Calculate the Cost of House in Pakistan & India PART 2

We will look at easy ways to calculate the cost of house in Pakistan and India part 2. Estimating the cost of house construction is a challenging task which should be carried out by a professional estimator. In this episode, we will explain generalized criteria for estimating quantities of various materials required for constructing e.g. per 100 SFT of covered area. We have worked out this unit to help a layman who is intending to start construction of his dream house. After watching this episode, you will be able to apply these quantities to your intended construction plan. For example, if you are constructing a 5 Marla house, your covered area would be 2000 SFT. Thus applying 120-130 Kg. of steel quantity per 100 SFT area, you get your steel quantity i.e. 2400 to 2600 Kg for the entire covered area. Just in the same way you keep applying the given criteria to all the other materials. In this way you will be able to calculate quantities of all the materials required for construction with an approximate accuracy of 80-85%.

However, please bear in mind that these criteria are applicable only to standard construction without requirement of special reinforcement etc. Besides, these are mere guidelines which in no way can be an alternative or replacement of professionally calculated bill of materials or bill of quantity (BOQ).
