'The US underestimates it's role in the global economy,' says Mohamed El-Erian

Allianz Chief Economic Advisor and global macro strategist Mohamed El-Erian sat down with Andy Serwer editor-in-chief for Yahoo Finance to discuss how the United States is now perceived in the global economy, his career as an economist, the value of fundamentals, long term investing, challenges at Harvard University, the Federal Reserve and uncertainty with the economy.
He also discusses how his daughter inspired him to embrace more of a work-life balance and the loyalty he has as a fan for the New York Jets and Mets despite their inability to have a winning season.
