Tchaikovsky - None but the Lonely Heart [played by Evgeni Kumanov]

I play Tchaikovsky's Romance, op.6, No.6 "None but the Lonely Heart". It's originally written for soprano voice and piano but I play the voice part on a synthesizer. The original Russian title is "Нет, только тот, кто знал".

I know this is somehow unorthodox but I intentionally combined a synth with acoustic piano since I can't play any other instruments than keyboards and I don't believe using emulations of real acoustic instruments such as violin/clarinet, or voice, for that matter, would sound good. Which is why I decided to just use a Minimoog-clone instead.

Piano: Garritan CFX controlled by a Yamaha AvantGrand N1X.
Synth: Behringer Model D controlled by an ASM Hydrasynth. The keyboard sends MIDI to the Model D. Aftertouch and velocity are routed through the Hydras's CV-out into the CV-in of the Model D and control its LFO mod and filter cutoff. The sound from the Model D is then routed back into the Hydra where the ribbon controller is used as a volume controller and a reverb is added. The audio is recorded in Logic Pro X (overdubbing the piano part) and an additional slight reverb from Valhalla Supermassive is added. Slight volume automation is also added to the synth part to make it a bit smoother.
