Simulate a schmitt trigger using op amp in LTspice software-

Learn how to simulate an op amp in LTspice. Schmitt trigger or regenerative comparators are widely used as wave generators or bistable multivibrator.

Schmitt triggers are comparator circuits with hysteresis.
Schmitt triggers are also called as regenerative comparators as op amp are connected in positive feedback.
there are two types of schmitt triggers
1. Non inverting schmitt trigger
2. Inverting schmitt trigger
The ordinary comparators are sensitive to noise and can cause false triggering. but schmitt trigger are insensitive to noise as they have two different thersholds namely upper voltage thershold and lower voltage thershold as reference.
